Welcome to the 2024 Spring In The Ring Dairy Workshop!

Spring into the summer show season with a refresher, tips, tricks, and how-to for youth ages 8 to 21. Gain hands-on experience from industry professionals to build and enhance your skills for the dairy show season. 

We are excited to offer an opportunity for dairy youth to expand their showmasnip, fitting and topline skills. Use the form link to sign up for your individual lesson! By signing up you will receive an $80+ value show day kit and recieve a premium for participation.

More about the program - 

Participants have the opportunity to “Build Your Own” workshop experience by selecting up to three (3) private lessons in the areas of: Showmanship, Body Fitting, and Toplines. There will also be a Dairy Skillathon contest open to all participants. Prizes and premiums will be given based on the completion of private lessons and the results of the dairy skillathon contest.

Private Lesson sign-up will occur online. Lessons will be 30 minutes in length and offered from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a lunch break from 12:30 to 1 p.m. When the first set of lessons is full, additional lessons for each section can be added.

Talbot County Fair Dairy Show begins at 6pm
Registration fee: $10 per person for one class, $20 for two or more classes. Once you register, you will receive an invoice.
*This is not a registration for the county show- you must do that separately.

Participants will be given a Show Day Kit: Wash bucket, shampoo, revive, fly spray, clipper oil, hair spray, alcohol, final bloom, & topline brush 
A $20 premium will be given to individuals who complete at least 3 lessons.

Dairy Skillathon Contest: Participation is $10 for each completed contest. Additional prizes awarded for 1st-3rd place for each age division: Junior, Intermediate, and Senior
